I have switched from Apple to Android / Android to apple.

Now that you have switched device types the reason you will experience difficulty is that we use the Mobile App Industry’s Best Practices to process our subscriptions and payments. This means that we sync your Apple ID or Google Play Store ID to the device used to subscribe. This is designed to prevent multiple people from sharing a single subscription.
For the app to work as intended I would recommend cancelling your subscription on your old phone.

You will then need to send a screenshot of your cancellation to our support team using this form here so they can issue you a code for any lost time on your current subscription.
Do not subscribe until you have the code or you will be charged again.

 

How do I change my bank details?

Your subscription for the Courtney Black App is processed through your App Store, so to change details you will need to follow the steps below dependant on your device type and provider.

I have rolled over on my subscription / I didn’t sign up for a rolling subscription

All of our subscriptions are rolling which is stated very clearly in our Terms and Conditions you accept ahead of purchasing your subscription:
Subscription Charges:

Subscriptions will occur as per your chosen subscription duration. Payments will continue until terminated. Unless the subscription is cancelled before the billing renewal date, the fees and charges will be charged on a rolling basis to your nominated Payment Method.

Why doesn’t my Apple / Android Subscription work on my Different Apple / Android phone

The reason you are having difficulty is because we use the Mobile App Industry’s Best Practice to process our subscriptions and payments. This means that we sync your Apple ID or Google Play Store ID to the device used to subscribe. This is designed to prevent multiple people sharing a single subscription.

For the app to work as intended on your iPad you will need to purchase a second subscription. This is because Apple and Google are 2 separate companies that support two separate devices. Its a bit like having DVDs and BluRays.
Its the same movie but you cant play a BluRay in a DVD player and vice versa. The Android app is owned by a different publisher, Google, and the Apple App is owned by Apple App store.
You could choose to cancel the app on your phone with Google and use your iPad as your app device Or, again vice versa.

CB accounts are currently linked to the Apple ID or Google Play Store ID associated with the device used to subscribe. This means that users cannot use their logins across different device types and app store platforms. You CAN use your app across your iPhone and iPad, provided both devices are logged into the same Apple ID.

Yes, we offer you a whole 14 days free trial so you can see if the app is for you! 
All of our free trials auto roll into our monthly subscription option, if you do not wish to continue with the app you must cancel you subscription before the 14 days are over or you will be charged ( cancel via your app store payments & subscriptions not within the app)

 

How do I cancel my subscription?

Once you have cancelled you will not be charged again. You can however still use the app for the duration of your subscription.
You can check if your subscription is cancelled on your phone by following these instructions.
Subscription in the Apple App Store:
Go the App Store.
Click your profile circle in the top right hand corner.
Click subscriptions > Courtney Black​.
Identify your subscription type and renewal date.
See your purchase history on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch:
Open the Settings app.
Tap your name, then tap iTunes & App Store.
Tap your Apple ID, then tap View Apple ID. You may be asked to sign in.
Scroll to Purchase History and tap it.
Find the Courtney Black​ App, then tap Total Billed.
See your subscriptions in Google Play:
Go to the Google Play Store.
Select the menu icon in the top left of your phone screen.
Select Subscriptions.
Tap the Courtney Black​ App.

Will my subscription automatically renew?

Will my Courtney Black App Subscription automatically renew through Google Play & Apple Store?
For your convenience, Courtney Black App subscriptions automatically renew, based on your chosen length of subscription. It will roll over for the same term as your current subscription until you choose to cancel.

I can’t see the latest updates to the app?

I can’t see the latest additions to the Courtney Black App.
Firstly, please ensure you are using the latest version of the app, you can check this via your chosen App Store. (Apple App Store or Google Play Store)
Once you’ve confirmed you are using the latest app version, please close the app (On Android and iPhone this can be done by swiping up to view the apps running in the background) and then reopen it.
This will refresh the app and ensure that you can see the latest additions such as new meals, exercise phases or Real Time challenges.

Can I get a refund?

Can I get a refund on the Courtney Black App?
As per our Terms and Conditions, we do not offer refunds or credits for unused subscription periods, accidental purchases, medical conditions or any similar reason or event.
Equally, we are unable to offer refunds to users changing over from an Android to an Apple device (or vice versa), because accounts are currently linked to the Apple ID or Google Play Store ID associated with the device used to subscribe. This means that users cannot use their logins across different device types and app store platforms.
Please be aware:
Cancelling your subscription will not provide a refund or pro-rata remaining subscription charges
After cancelling your subscription, you will be able to continue using the Courtney Black App for the course of the remaining duration you have paid for.
To prevent the billing cycle from rolling over once the subscription duration has ended, you can cancel future payments in the app store.
Our subscriptions are handled entirely by either Google Play Store or Apple App Store, depending on your chosen device. We are unable to trigger refunds from these platforms, as this is a standard App Store policy.

FAQ’s and information regarding our Lifetime Offer for The Courtney Black App
IMPORTANT NOTES
Subscriptions will be billed annually at £71.99 until cancelled.
You must purchase this offer through this page, not within the app or app store.
This is a new subscription model, current subscribers will be responsible forcancelling their previous subscriptions to avoid double payments.
If you cancel your ‘lifetime offer’ you will not be eligible to reaccess this offer but will have full access to the app until your expiry date.
Users who are moving to the lifetime subscription will not lose their data (favourites etc).
You will not miss out if you have a current active subscription, you just need to claim the offer before the 5th July and we will contact you when your subscription is expiring so you can purchase the ‘lifetime offer’ then.
Once purchased you can view and manage your account within the app under your profile settings.

BRAND NEW USERS
A brand new user is a customer who has never had the Courtney Black App.
Once directed to the offer page, you will need to ‘sign up’ and create a Courtney Black App account login.
Once you agree to the terms and conditions and complete the purchase of the lifetime offer subscription, you will then need to download the Courtney Black App and log in with the details you have used to sign up.
You will then be walked through all the set-up of your account within the app.
You can view and manage your subscription within the app under your profile account.

RETURNING USERS
A returning user is a customer who has previously had an account within the Courtney Black App but it has now lapsed.
Once directed to the offer page, you will need to ‘log in’ use your Courtney Black App login details to gain access OR if you have a new email you can ‘sign up’ as a new user.
Once you agree to the terms and conditions and complete the purchase of the lifetime offer subscription, you will then be able to head back into the app & login (or firstly download the app if you no longer have the app on your device)
You can view and manage your subscription within the app under your profile account.

ACTIVE USERS
An active user will either have an active subscription with the Courtney Black App without an expiration date ( has not cancelled auto-renewal) or will have an active subscription but has an expiration date ( has cancelled auto-renewal).
Once directed to the offer page, you will need to ‘log in’ use your Courtney Black App login details to gain access.
If your subscription expiration date is within 14 days, you can purchase the lifetime offer immediately.
You must ensure you cancel your current subscription if it is still active for auto-renewal as you will be double charged. It is the responsibility of the user to ensure it is cancelled as per the terms you agree to when purchasing the offer.

If your subscription expiration date is over 14 days, you can claim the lifetime offer immediately and you will receive an email of confirmation. When you have 14 days before expiration you will receive an email from the Courtney Black App with a link to redeem and purchase the ‘lifetime offer’.
You must ensure you cancel your current subscription if it is still active for auto-renewal as you will be double charged. It is the responsibility of the user to ensure it is cancelled as per the terms you agree to when purchasing the offer.
